THE CT CABARET THEATRE READS

“Blithe Spirit”

A Hauntingly Hilarious Noel Coward Comedy
February 03rd thru March 10th, 2012

BERLIN (February 3 – March 10, 2012) – The Connecticut Cabaret Theatre is pleased to announce its production of ghostly mischievous comedy, BLITHE SPIRITwritten by Noel Coward and directed by Kris McMurray.

The smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages, this much-revived classic from the playwright of Private Lives offers up fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, played by TOM ROOHR, re-married but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, the clever and insistent Elvira, played beautifully by RACHEL WEST-BALLING, who is called up by a visiting "happy medium", one Madame Arcati, played by JOANNE CALLAHAN-ROOHR. As the (worldly and un-) personalities clash, Charles' current wife Ruth, played by BARBARA HORAN, is accidentally killed, "passes over", joins Elvira and the two "blithe spirits" haunt the hapless Charles into perpetuity. This spookily funny show also features PAUL BRACCIOFORTE, ABBY BROOKS & LINDA KELLY. Together they will fright you into laughter. You do not want to miss this show!

The fine production staff includes Kris McMurrayProducer & Artistic DirectorMatthew Collin Marrero, Set DesignerJames J. Moran, Light/ Sound Technician, Karen Buck, Stage Manager and Barbara NormanBox Office Manager.
